About Us
“We are living in a world of growing insecurity and stress. If we keep moving in the same direction, it is not hard to imagine the world our children will inherit. We need a desperate shift in our world, our thinking, and our lifestyle. This change starts with having a God experience. He is the true source of peace and through him alone can we live righteously and become better people. Sofia Lifelead is my way of enabling this change.”
- Sofia Lacey, Founder, Sofia Lifelead
Welcome to Sofia Lifelead, a program very close to my heart. We often talk about the ideal world dismissively, but I believe it can be a reality and through Sofia Lifelead I present to you a way of making this happen.
When pain becomes too much you either draw near to God or decide to move completely away. The latter was true for me. However, it was only later in life that I realised that my pain was also my route back to God. I truly believe that only your Creator can repair you from all the damage you have had in the years of separation from Him. When I hit rock-bottom at age 23, depressed and alone, I found God.

Let me start from the beginning. I was born in a small coastal village, in Lebanon. Fishing was the main source of income for the village but my family was into plantations and transportation. We had a very humble and simple childhood. Growing up I was fascinated by the world of Disney and Mickey Mouse was my favourite. I shuttled between Australia and Lebanon after my parents’ separation. Dad and mum were two beautiful souls but, together turned out to be like oil and water. Having married at a very young age my mum had me when she was still a teenager. After my parents separated, mum took me and my two brothers to Australia, where I lived until I turned 18. At 18, I returned to Lebanon to live with dad, my grandmother and my aunt. They both loved me one degree less than God and have had the greatest influence on my life and personality. My dad worked very long hours and his absence was compensated by our large extended family of aunts, cousins and friends. I travelled yearly to see my mum and brothers in Australia. Through all those years, though I appeared normal I was developing into a self-gratifying and attention-seeking adult who was desperately seeking to fill her emptiness with shopping and flippant relationships.
As I progressed in years, I pursued my Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the State University of New York and continued investing in myself securing several diplomas and certificates in personal development. I believed an education was key to live the grand life I wanted for my future. I desired to earn great wealth so I could afford my luxury car, designer bags and clothes, jewellery, status and the likes. I wanted to be happy as truly deep within I was sinking. I was constantly fluctuating between the extremes of behaviour, one day I was happy and upbeat about going out on other occasions I could pass few days not leaving the house. My brain was foggy, I seemed drained of any desire to live and all I wanted was to lie in. Depression was squeezing the life out of me and I could not help myself until one day in 2000, I remember the date- 15 Aug, when my life changed forever. It was the Feast of the Ascension of our Blessed Virgin Mary and I went to the church Harissa Our Lady Of Lebanon. I had a sincere talk with the Virgin Mary, I told her “be my mother and guide me as I am lost in this world” I cried. That day, I met with my spiritual mentor Father Elie Andari who is responsible for who I am today. He drew me out of depression step by step, one day at a time till I was no longer lethargic and unhappy. He put me on a journey of understanding my purpose and drawing true happiness out of my life. He enlightened me of God’s love and plans for my life.
So it was at 23, I had my very first and personal encounter with God. I had a spiritual reawakening, I experienced God as my creator and a selfless giver who loved me and blessed my life unconditionally. Once I had this experience, it led me onto a journey of self-discovery of my true potential as seen by God my creator.
I started off primarily as being more aware of my surroundings and the needs of others around me. Soon I was working with special orphans who were abused, left in taxis, on the doors of churches and convents in Lebanon, the work brought me so much fulfilment and gave me a life with a purpose. I wanted to share my newfound wisdom with many and soon the thought of LifeLead was born. I have realised that being a righteous person and staying connected to God is the only way to lead a fulfilling life, and this is at the core of the Lifelead program.
